Nothing is left from the proud Slovenian team, who managed to qualify to the Euro and World Cup 10 years ago. Nowadays, Slovenia is another European minnow, finding hard to scrap a win. The Euro 2008 qualifying campaign was a disastrous one, as Slovenia finished below Albania and Belarus, with only Luxembourg saving them from finishing last.
Will this campaign be any different? Well, for a start - it can't be any worse. Obviously, Slovenia have no chance to qualify, but they will settle for a solid campaign, which will make a stepping stone for a better future. We will be utterly surprised to see the finish higher than 5th place.
Bottom Line: Heavily underachieving, but might put a dent in one of the group leaders' hopes.
