During the 1980's, Belgium were a force to be reckoned with, as they fielded a strong team which managed to get to the Semi Finals of 1986 World Cup, only to lose to Maradona's Argentina.
Unfortunately, those days are long gone, as nowadays Belgium find it hard when playing teams such as Kazakhstan and Armenia.
The last Olympic Games saw Belgium under-21 reaching the semi finals and this might mark the change for the senior team as well. In any case - they will have to perform much better in the qualifying campaign, as the pride of Belgium is at stake.

Bottom Line: Bad century for Belgium football team.
