Iceland are a tough nut, but they find it difficult to make an impact on any qualifying campaign. Euro 2008 qualifying campaign was disastrous, as Iceland were saved from humiliation only to a couple of good performances in their last matches. This allowed them to finish above Liechtenstein and feel some sort of hope before this qualifying campaign. Quite frankly - they have no real chance to qualify, but one surprising win over Netherlands or Norway at home might prove to be crucial for this group.
Bottom Line: The Icelandic decline has got to end sometime!
