Latvia have no good memories from the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign, as a string of defeats, including an embarrassing one to Liechtenstein, put them out of contention in early stages. This, alongside lackluster performances, meant the Latvians have to change things in order to have any chance to qualify to a major tournament, as they did in 2004.
The 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign will allow us to see what were their conclusions from the last campaign with a tough opening match in Moldova to determine if Latvia are heading up or down.

Bottom Line: Last chance to bounce back.
